Well, it was a day to say goodbye to a family member. My cousin Ola. It was her last day in New Zealand as she was off to Australia to settle there with her two older brothers. The purpose of her going was for her to prepare for her mission. A mission is where missionaries are sent to a specific place like Tonga, Wellington or even Auckland and teach people about the gospel. Many Mormons are wanting to go on there mission. Anyway, back to my cousin. It was sad to say goodbye to her because we were so close. So close she was like my older sister. I know everyone is going to miss her. Its not going to be the same without her. I would just like to say, stay safe Ola. Remember to never give up in anything and to stay focus and I know you will reach your goals. Most of all though, have FUN!!! Farewell from ME....

KEEP CALM AND HAKUNA MATATA
KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON.... KEEP CALM AND LOVE LIFE..... KEEP CALM AND BE YOURSELF... Keep calm is a poster. Did you know it was produced by the British government. There are many versions, such as the ones above but my favourite one is KEEP CALM AND HAKUNA MATATA. It reminds me of the movie Lion King. If you have seen the movie, you may have recognised the saying 'Hakuna Matata' by Pumba, Timon and Simba. Hakuna Matata means no worries, for the rest of your days... Well, thats what they say! Its such an interesting movie filled with laughter, cartoon images and music. The characters are also hilarious .. Anyway, if you are sad or angry... Just remember to 'KEEP CALM AND HAKUNA MATATA.'

ANZAC
Australian and New Zealand Army Corps other wise known as ANZAC day, is going to be tomorrow 25 of April. It is a national day for both New Zealand and Australia. This is when we honour and thank the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. They fought at Gallipoli during World War I.
People wear a red poppy which is a symbol of war remembrance. It is said that the soldiers died in the fields of Flanders. While thousands of bodies were on the muddy ground, poppies sprang up. I you look around you will notice many people wearing them for ANZAC day.
Thursday morning some people from our church LDS (Latter-Day Saints) are going down to the Auckland Museum to the memorial service. We are going to pay our respect to the people that served our country. We know that they did it well. Everyone please come to honour those people that served our country!!!

A Tragic Day At Boston
The Boston Marathon.... Thats when it happened.... The day that was supposed to be all about celebrating the people that had just crossed the finish line, but no... It was the day when fear had entered the large city.....
"Breaking news... The Boston Marathon has just been bomb!" My attention went straight to the TV. Usually I would take no notice of the news, but a bomb in Boston. That reminded me of a terrible man. I won't mention his name because many people worship him and I think that it might me bad if I do. Anyway, the bomb.... It was an unusual thing to hear about but, it was true! Three people died and more then 170 people were injured. It was not good.
Luckily, the FBI found out some useful information. On the city cameras they noticed two people with strange bags. It looked similar to the bags that contained the bombs. They knew that they had found there suspects. A father and his son. The father died because of the bomb and his son.... Well, he survived but was caught in the end which was great news. Hopefully, the FBI can make him spill some useful information.
My prayers definitely go towards the people in Boston. Its not nice what the two suspects did. There are questions in my mind like.... Were these people some how related to Osama Bin Laden? Was anyone else part of the bombing? More questions that hopefully can be answered.... I know its not only me that feel for these people, there are a lot more, even celebrities. I just don't know why these men would do such a thing. Its horrible.... Anyway people in Boston, I have a message for YOU!!! Stay safe and always remember that you are loved by people around the world, and that Gods with you every step of the way. I hope you guys get past this heavy object in your life! Also R.I.P to the people that died because of the bomb.

Another Ordinary Day Created By A Bunch Of Girls In Room 21
This movie was created by Shoal, Ashleigh, Jasmine and myself. It stars a year 6 ambassador named Lesieli. We were given the task to create this movie to show what a typical day might look like for a student here at our school. Because Lesieli is an ambassador she has more responsibilities, so some of the things you saw was what only a Pt England ambassador would do. Most of what you see though might be a typical day for most of our netbook students. Leave a comment on your thoughts. I hope you enjoy.

What Do I Want To Be When I Grow Up?
Many teachers ask this question every year... 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' When I was little my answer was to be a princess that lived in a big castle with many rooms in it. Each year my answer became more and more realistic until one year I thought about it more carefully.
So in 2010 I realised that what I wanted to be in the future was a veterinarian. Every year, my answer never changed. I think that this is a sign for me to stick to this idea. When I get to college I know that the grades I need can be A's and B's but most of them have to be A's... The subjects I have to take are chemistry, biology and physics. I can take other subjects but those subjects are compulsory.
If this doesn't turn out well I am going to plan B... Which is, a choreographer. I was told that to be a choreographer you needed to be fit and creative. I think the subjects I need to take is English (this can help me to write some creative titles or blurbs), Maths, also join a musical group (to help develop a beat or just learn to play an instrument). Last of all, I think that I should sign up for sports as well to help me with my fitness. Hopefully in the future, I can make a class where people can enrol and I can teach them a couple of dance sets.
These are two possibilities I can do for the future... I don't know if this will go to plan but I'm going to give it a go... If you have any information about being a veterinarian or a choreographer please leave a comment down below. Thanks for reading!!!

Student VS Wild Competition
Pt England Survivors from Team 5 PES on Vimeo.
This is a movie that a bunch of students in room 21 made. Crusader, Darius, Uili, Starford, Kingston, Levi, Ashleigh, Shoal, myself and the help of our fabulous teacher Mrs Lagitupu were all part of this movie. We entered it into a movie competition called Student vs Wild.
The movie had to be about students being locked inside their school for about a week or so... The students had to find a way to survive in the wild. It took a lot of time and effort to plan then film and finally edit our final product. That is what it looks like...
Now everyday we vote for our movie so we can win. The seven winning movies get to go on an outing to Outdoor Pursuits Centre for five days. I know that this will be a great opportunity for all of us students to experience this magnificent outing. I would like to ask if you could vote for our movie please. Heres a link that will take you to the website... CLICK ON THIS LINK TO VOTE FOR US.... PLEASE!!! You might decide to watch some other movies and may notice that some are better then ours but we really want to experience it... So please vote for us!!! Fingers crossed....
