The Seed

Hi my name is Vivienne and I am in room 17 a year 6 student. My amazing teacher Miss Garden, read us a book that is called The Seed. The Seed is about two tribes,a scarab tribe and a chafer tribe. There is a boarder that splits there lands. One day a seed fell right on the boarder and both tribes did not know what to do with it. Both tribes researched the seed and said “With 100% its a cherry tree” At the end both tribes decided to have a war to see who gets the cherry tree but a great big tree was blocking the sun. All the beetles looked at the tree and realized it was the cherry tree so there was no war. This is a picture I drew. It is one of the scarab beetles. I hoped you enjoyed my post and my picture.

New netbooks

I am excited for the day I can take my netbook home because I can take my netbook anytime and anyplace. Our netbook are going to help us get ready for the future, because some jobs like the doctors need computers to work on.

Everyone was ready and waiting for Mrs Burt to walk through the doors, with all of our brand new netbooks.Lots of teachers helped us set them up. We got lots of support from teachers that don't even come to this school, but they still helped all of us.

It was very frustrating at times when the internet didn’t work, and we had to go back to using plain old pencils and paper. We had to be patient and wait for the teacher to come and help us if we had problems.I thought it was intriguing how small our netbooks were but they can still do most of the things an i mac can do.

My highlight in the holiday

My highlight in the holidays was visiting Australia. While we were in Australia my family and I drove to a zoo named Werribe zoo. Werribe zoo has lots of animals like cheetahs, wild dogs and even camels.

Later on that day my dad said “Its time to go on our safari”. A safari is a bus that takes people to see more animals. We saw lots of animal on the safari like giraffes, rhinos and many more. The different between a safari and the zoo is that, the zoo animals didn’t have a lot of room to move around, but the animals on the safari did have a lot of room to move around.

On the safari I was looking forward to seeing the camels. There was a camel named lala and she was a very smart camel, because the tourist said “ As you all can see that these are our camels, and this is lala she is one of our female camels. If you see the camels knees, it would kind of look like a knee pads”, Then suddenly lala went down on her stomach and showed the people on the safari her knees.

Next the tourist said out loud “Its time to go back to Werribe zoo”. So she headed back to Werribe Zoo and that was the end of the safari trip. Then my dad said “Time to go home now.” My brother and I agreed because we were very tired of walking around so we hoped in the car and drove back home.
